Paid Internships and On-The-Job Training Will Put You on the Fast Track. Are you between 18 and 24 years old and looking for real-world job experience?
Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas can place you in a paid internship or on-the-job training for up to 26 weeks. Contact your local Workforce Center and ask about our subsidized work programs. One of our friendly and professional career coaches is ready to help you get started on a rewarding career!
Adult Education and Literacy
Adult Education and Literacy providers offer reading, writing, and math High School Equivalency (HSE) classes that prepare adult learners to take the HSE exam of their choice: (GED or HiSET)
English classes for Limited English Proficiency adults. "Learn to speak, read, and write in English".

Unemployment Benefit Services
Unemployment benefits are part of an employer-paid program that provides temporary, partial income replacement to qualified individuals who are unemployed through no fault of their own. Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
The Earned Income Tax Credit, EITC or EIC, is a benefit for working people with low to moderate income. To qualify, you must meet certain requirements and file a tax return, even if you do not owe any tax or are not required to file. EITC reduces the amount of tax you owe and may give you a refund. Tiffany came to Workforce Solutions in Stephenville as a participant in the Choices Program and Subsidized Employment provided her with an opportunity to learn new work skills and pay her bills. She received child care and transportation assistance while employed. Upon completion of her work experience, Tiffany was able to find a full-time job. She is no longer receiving subsidized benefits and is well on the road to self-sufficiency. (March 2018)
