North Central Texas Hosted Mass Job Fairs in November

ARLINGTON, TX – November 15, 2024 – Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas hosted a series of job fairs in November, to match highly qualified candidates with vacancies in the region. The fairs drew 913 job seekers and featured more than 140 employers seeking to fill 1,000 immediate vacancies in a variety of industries with competitive salary ranges. The events, held over two days (November 7th and 13th) at Toyota Stadium in Frisco and The Hamptons Event Center in Red Oak were part of Hiring Red, White & You! a statewide initiative supported by the Texas Workforce Commission and the Texas Veterans Commission.
Hiring Red, White & You! connected job seekers including veterans, transitioning military members and their spouses with employers across the North Central Texas region who are actively seeking skilled workers, and included a variety of industries, including healthcare, technology, logistics, manufacturing, and more.
Each year Hiring Red, White & You! Job Fairs are open to the public, but priority access is given to veterans, transitioning military members, and their spouses. The effort is important, because Texas is home to 1.5 million veterans and 15 major military installations, including the Army Futures Command. With more than 22,000 uniformed service members exiting the military and remaining or returning to Texas each year, the transition from military service to civilian employment presents unique challenges. Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas provides hiring events each month at its 12 workforce offices, but Hiring Red, White & You! is the largest hosted by the agency.
