Recaro Aircraft Seating Wins Award at Texas Workforce Conference

ARLINGTON, TX – Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas is proud to recognize Recaro Aircraft Seating as the region's 2024 Local Employer of Excellence. Recaro Aircraft Seating accepted the award at the Texas Workforce Commission's (TWC) 27th Annual Texas Workforce Conference held Dec. 4 - Dec. 6, 2024, in Grapevine. Local Workforce Development Boards nominate employers who make a positive impact on workers, the community, and the state through their partnerships with Texas Workforce Solutions.

Recaro stands out for its comprehensive approach to workforce development. The company actively posts job postings on the WorkInTexas.com portal and utilizes the On-the-Job Training Program to equip employees with essential skills through hands-on experience. Beyond these measures, Recaro is dedicated to career exploration and community engagement. Initiatives like the Teacher Externship Program and Summer Earn and Learn provide invaluable opportunities for educators and students, fostering a seamless transition from education to employment.

“More than 653,000 employers call Texas home, and businesses like Recaro are the engine driving Texas's economic success,” said TWC Commissioner Representing Employers Joe Esparza. “By tapping into resources offered through the Texas Workforce Solutions system, employers can help build a stronger, more skilled workforce.”
Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas also nominated Schreiber Foods, which was recognized as a finalist for the Large Employer of the Year Award. Schreiber Foods is the largest manufacturing plant in Erath County, employing nearly 700 individuals. Schreiber partners with Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas and local educational institutions like Ranger College and Tarleton State University to offer training, career exploration, and upskilling opportunities. Schreiber Foods is also dedicated to helping high school students through the Stephenville Career Club, providing pathways for career development right in their community. With a focus on employee well-being, the company offers a range of benefits, including child care assistance, wellness programs, and tuition reimbursement. Their $8 million investment in a new product line will create 200 new jobs, further contributing to local economic growth. Through ongoing collaboration with local chambers of commerce, economic development authorities, and workforce boards, Schreiber Foods has proven to be a model of success, fostering both individual advancement and community prosperity. 

Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas is among 28 Local Workforce Development Boards located throughout the state. The Board serves Collin, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, and Wise counties.  Through partnerships with TWC and their communities, Workforce Boards meet the needs of Texas employers and workers through locally designed, market-driven workforce development initiatives and services.  All employers and individuals can take advantage of these services.
