WSNCT Seeks Partners for Texas Talent Connection Grant Applications

Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas (WSNCT) is actively seeking partners for the Texas Talent Connection grant program. This initiative aims to foster innovation in workforce development by supporting job placement, wage increases, job retention, and the efficient delivery of workforce services.

WSNCT is inviting local employers, community organizations, educational institutions, and other stakeholders within its 14-county service area to partner and apply for this critical funding opportunity. The 14 counties in the WSNCT service area include: Collin, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, and Wise.

WSNCT is committed to providing support throughout the application process and will work closely with partners to develop innovative solutions that align with the goals of the Texas Talent Connection grant program.

Key Focus Areas for Grant Applications: The Texas Talent Connection program seeks to support workforce training initiatives that:

  • Lead to successful job placement, increased wages, and improved job retention.
  • Provide more efficient, innovative ways of delivering workforce services.
  • Serve workforce populations with special needs.


Eligibility & Funding Details: Eligible applicants may include local workforce boards, employers, educational institutions, faith-based organizations, community-based organizations, and other eligible entities.

  • The grant supports funding for 12-month periods, with applications required for each year of funding.
  • Annual funding is capped at $350,000, and successful applicants may receive up to three consecutive years of funding for similar grant activities.
  • Performance from previous grant years will be evaluated when considering additional funding for continuing projects.

Important Dates:

  • April 1: Application Period Opens
  • April 30: Application Deadline (5 p.m. CDT)
  • Mid-June: Notification of Awards
  • July or Later: Contract Development
