Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas is partnering with Navarro College to host iWork: Youth Career Exploration Event on Friday, September 29th Friday, September 29th at Navarro College (1900 John Arden Drive, Waxahachie, TX) in celebration of "Careers in Texas Industries Week."

Young Adults (Ages 15-24)

We are excited to bring you the iWork: Youth Career Exploration Event, in celebration of “Careers in Texas Industries Week”, for young adults who are ages 15-24.  This event will get you up to speed about in-demand jobs and career pathways and allow you to experience interactive and hands-on demonstrations that will assist you in developing a better understanding of the employment opportunities around you.  You will learn how technical certificates, associate degrees and bachelor degrees can be connected to create career pathways, receive advice on what skills employers want, get details on ways to access training and receive a FREE Employability Kit so you can start your career exploration with the tools you need to be successful.

Help your students discover career and training opportunities in exciting in-demand occupations. This event will offer business and community partners the opportunity to showcase their career opportunities and provide hands-on demonstrations of tools used in their industry. There will also be breakout sessions on meaningful topics on career exploration and other exciting educational activities that meet HB-5’s "21st Century Workforce Development" requirements.
